Tapes To Digital charges £15 per tape for 1–4 tapes, £14.50 for 5–10, £14 for 11–20, £13.50 for 21–30 and £13 for 30 or more. A mixed order of VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, Video 8, Hi8, Digital 8, Betamax, DVDs and audio cassettes counts together towards the same discount. 8mm and Super 8 cine film is priced by reel diameter instead, from £19 for a 3-inch reel up to £68 for a 9-inch reel.

Most orders are ready in 7–10 working days from the day Tapes To Digital receives your tapes, and often sooner. Tell us when you book if you need them by a particular date and we will say straight away whether we can meet it. If a tape needs cleaning or repair before it will play, we contact you first, because that can add time.

Every conversion from Tapes To Digital comes with an MP4 for watching and sharing and an archival master file for long-term keeping, both at the same price. You can take the files on a USB we supply, as a download, on a USB you bring us, or on an external hard drive on any order. Your original tapes always come back.

Yes. Tapes To Digital adds a DVD copy for £6 per disc alongside your digital files. A disc holds up to two hours, so a longer recording is split across more than one disc rather than compressed to fit — that keeps the quality of the transfer intact.

Everyday formats are converted on professional converters at the Tapes To Digital drop-off you used — Brixton, Watford, Southall or Farnborough. Rare and specialist formats are sent to Tapes To Digital's UK lab in Farnborough. Your tapes stay with Tapes To Digital throughout and your originals are always returned.

Yes. Tapes To Digital accepts tapes by post from anywhere in the UK at exactly the same per-tape price as a drop-off. Pack them so they cannot move inside the box, and we will return your originals along with your digital files.

Tapes To Digital does not charge for a tape that turns out to be blank, or for a recording that cannot be recovered — you pay only for footage we actually get back. Mould cleaning and tape repair are from £13 per tape and we quote before starting. We cannot tell how long a tape runs until we play it, so we never quote a running time in advance.

Yes. Tapes To Digital converts American NTSC tapes and French tapes for £7 per tape on top of the standard per-tape price. Three hours of footage are included per tape, and anything beyond that is £6 per extra hour.
